Strawberry Oreo Ice Cream
Homemade strawberry oreo ice cream recipe for use in an ice cream maker
Ingredients

heavy cream

milk (whole preferred)

3/4 c
granulated sugar

frozen strawberries in syrup

oreos, chopped or crushed
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your ice cream maker bowl is appropriately chilled (~48 hours in the fridge)
Step 2
Beat eggs in stand mixer with whisk attachment until light and fluffy, ~2-3 minutes
Step 3
Add granulated sugar and beat until combined
Step 4
Add heavy cream and milk and beat until combined
Step 5
Refrigerate ice cream mix for 1-2 hours
Step 6
Pulse approx. 2/3-3/4 of the strawberries in food processor to desired consistency (may help to thaw container slightly first)
Step 7
Add ice cream mix and pulsed strawberries to ice cream maker and begin churning, 15-20 mins
Step 8
Add crushed Oreos in the last 2-3 minutes of the churning process
Step 9
Ice cream will be soft serve consistency. For harder ice cream (recommended), transfer thickened ice cream to quart-sized container and freeze for at least 2-3 hours

Ice cream base is the Ben & Jerry's "Sweet Cream Base #1"
